The City of Oxford

The beautiful city of Oxford with its historic colleges is only 7 miles away. Museums such as the Ashmolean, the Pitt-Rivers, and the Natural History are all in central Oxford. Blenheim Palace

The magnificent Blenheim Palace was built in the early 18th century, designed by Sir John Vanbrugh. It is an easy drive from Nuneham Courtenay and is open daily, except for Christmas Day. In addition to the Palace itself, you can visit the Park, designed by Capability Brown, or the beautiful Formal Gardens

The market town of Woodstock

Woodstock is a picturesque, historic market town near Blenheim Palace. Explore its collection of honey-coloured streets with interesting boutiques, art galleries and antique shops. Stop for refreshments or lunch in one of the many coffee shops, tearooms or upmarket pubs and restaurants.

A beautiful section runs very close to New Cottage, you could go north towards Oxford or south towards Abingdon.
